Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where our Tiered Point System ranks and records our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. Please check the About Page for a more in-depth look at how points are awarded. Our Tier System is below for quick reference. Spoiler Warning!
We have a fun feed planned this week. Game of Thrones is full of lords and ladies, but there are also beasts in the woods. What good is a House if you don’t have a sigil? The Targarians have their dragons, the Lannisters their lions, but the Starks know that winter is coming and came prepared with a pack of wolves. That’s right; today, we are covering the Direwolves adopted by the Stark children. Which wolf do you think will stand on top? I’ll give you a rare Feats N’ Faults hint… Ghost is not in first place. Uhuh, look at those gears churning in your noggins. I was shocked, too! Will any of these make it into our Top Tier council as the House sigil?
Grey Wind, adopted by Robb Stark.
Lady, adopted by Sansa Stark.
Nymeria, adopted by Arya Stark.
Shaggydog, adopted by Rickon Stark.
Summer, adopted by Bran Stark.
Ghost, adopted by Jon Snow.
Go ahead and rank these from least to greatest, and let me know in the comments if you predicted any of their placements correctly!
Let’s Get Started
6th Place, Lady: 0 FN’F Score (2011) 2 ep.
Oh no, poor Lady. This is the saddest Feats N’ Faults card I ever had to make. Lady did nothing wrong, and they massacred my girl! Justice for Lady! Joffrey deserved a worse death than he already got. Lady did not have a chance to prove herself, but she was still a certified good girl.
5th Place, Nymeria: 1 FN’F Score (2011-2017) 3 ep.
Another good girl with little screen time is Nymeria. We initially lost track of her as she ran into the wild. Then she returned in a scene that I still do not fully understand. Nymeria basically shows up just to disappear again. The point was not to join Arya for the final battle. Maybe it was to show that Arya had grown so much that she was not a Stark anymore. Yet, when she returns home, she is accepted, and that plot device is not used either. If anyone else knows what that scene was supposed to mean, please let me know in the comments.
4th Place, Rickon Stark: 1 FN’F Score (2011-2016) 9 ep.
Shaggydog is a good boy. He takes out a Wildling but then disappears when Rickon leaves Bran. We don’t see him again until we are introduced to the Boltons. Unfortunately, he is just a head on a stick. It's hard to earn more Feats when you don’t have a body. He’s still a good boy.
3rd Place, Gray Wind: 3 FN’F Score (2011-2013) 9 ep.
Grey Wind would 100% be on the top of this list if we got to see more of the battles he fought in. There was a mention of him fighting and killing dozens of Lannisters, but I know he must have annihilated some troops. He still has one of the coolest Feats I have ever written down. He killed a man while he was taking a piss, haha. Classic! Grey Wind is a battle-hardened good boy. But he still only has half the score as first place.
2nd Place, Ghost: 5 FN’F Score (2011-2019) 24 ep.
Ghost is in first place for appearances but only second in scoring. Of course, he is a good boy—that goes without saying. Yet, he falls short by just one point. His brother was able to accomplish one more Feat than him. Ghost still was a monster in the North. He made it to his own turf and made sure the wildlings and traitors knew he was there. Rast learned that the hard way after he taunted him. Bad move, guy. Ghost also saved Gilly from being raped and Sam from getting himself embarrassed and having to watch. If it had not been for Ghost, it is extremely possible that Sam would have died. Those piercing red eyes would make anyone quake in fear.
1st Place, Rickon Stark: 6 FN’F Score (2011-2016) 15 ep.
Surprise, Summer is our Direwolf winner! I know I was not expecting this either, but she sacrificed herself to save Bran. That earned her the sacrifice bonus that all combatants can receive to boost their score by making the ultimate sacrifice. He also saved Bran at the beginning of the series by protecting him from the would-be assassin. Summer is the best guardian you could ask for and the bestest boy of the pack.
Thanks for tuning into another Feats N’ Faults. We had a shorter one this week, but I could not resist covering these Dire Wolves. Who knows, maybe they will make it to the Top Tier council. I think we need at least one or two animal companions. I appreciate all the support from the community, so let’s keep it growing! Do not forget to subscribe and share with a friend. I will see you all next Thursday for another Feats N’ Faults. I hope you all have a bodacious week.
Until Next Time!
I love this so much 😄 the direwolves are great, i wish they had more screentime!
Lots of good boys and girls this week!
